Ensembl Integration
SPICE is linked into the Ensembl
genome
browser. We provide the mapping from Ensembl peptides to PDB protein
structures. To visualize this mapping please perform the following steps:
- If you are on an Ensembl protein report page, e.g. http://www.ensembl.org/Homo_sapiens/protview?peptide=ENSP00000354398. There is a graphical summary of the annotated features.
- This graphical display can also display annotations as
provided by DAS. To activate the DAS source that
provides the ENSP - PDB mapping and that can launch SPICE, please
scroll down to the DAS - configuration section and activate the SPICE
- PDB das source.
An alternative way is to press this, which will do the activation
automatically for your
- Once the web page has reloaded, the graphical feature view will display some new DAS tracks:
- if you click on the new track a popup window will appear.
